Héros national irlandais , il fut l'un des plus grands guitaristes de blues-rock blanc , avec son inusable Fender Stratocaster . Egal d' Eric Clapton , Jeff Beck, Alvin Lee et Jimmy Page au début des années 70 , il souleva les foules avec sa fougue et son entière sincérité.
